One Accord Prayer Movement Leaders - Meet Tawanda Harris

Tawanda is a retired Chemical Officer from the United States Army. She holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Science. Post-retirement, she furthered her education with a Master's in Social Work expressing her desire to help relieve people's suffering, fight for social justice, and improve lives and communities. Today, Tawanda is not only an advocate for social change but “soul” change, as well. She is an inspirational speaker and author who’s devoted to empowering others through her faith journey.
Tawanda is devoted to encouraging others to believe as we undergo trials, it is God’s grace that strengthens and reassures us along the way. Hardships should never shake our belief in God’s infinite power and wisdom. She is passionate about prayer and empowering others to discover the transformative power God’s promises possess. She began writing prayers as a means of coping with hardships and cultivating a deeper connection with God. This desire birthed the book series: G.L.O.W Through Prayer. GLOW stands for Glorify the Lord Over the Word
Tawanda reaches a wide audience through teaching and leading women at her home church and sharing weekly encouragement via blogs and newsletters via her website. She also hosts the podcast, Devoted To Prayer. She desires to help others grow spiritually by promoting an authentic prayer life and an enduring relationship with Jesus Christ.
Tawanda is married to her loving husband, Dr. Phillip “Deven” Harris, and dog-mom to their Labrador, Luka. They reside in Elizabethtown, KY. It is our honor to introduce her to you!
