Kingdom Connection Leaders - Meet Maggie Kavanaugh

Maggie Kavanaugh, a dynamic force in media and community leadership, is driven by her commitment to empowering others and fostering transformative change. As the founder and director of Moving Forward Ministries 501c3, a venture she co-established with her husband, Kevin, Maggie's work is deeply rooted in marriage and family counseling. Her dedication to helping individuals overcome destructive behaviors and life-controlling substances is reflected in Moving Forward's certification as a recovery-friendly ministry. Maggie's collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse is a beacon of hope, underscoring her significant impact in the recovery field.
Central to her mission are Maggie's media ventures. She is the visionary behind the 'Be Godfident' movement, an initiative born from creating a program for young ladies that give them opportunities to overcome through informal mentoring, and leadership growth. The movement focuses on equipping the next generation to live purposefully through prevention, education and their identity in Christ. Maggie hosts the annual 'Be Godfident' conference, a diverse gathering that builds confidence in teens and women while promoting intergenerational connections and legacy, ensuring everyone feels included and valued.
As the executive producer of "Godfident Next Gen," Maggie provides a platform for teens and college students to discuss cultural issues through discussions with teens, college-age students, and young adults. This TV show is accessible on multiple platforms, including CTN/WHTN, Nashville public access TV, Moving Forward on Roku, and YouTube, offering valuable insights and fostering meaningful dialogue among young people.
Additionally, Maggie hosts "Keys to Your Best Life," a broadcast dedicated to highlighting and promoting the work of others in the body of Christ. Her media presence extends to co-hosting "Your Marriage Toolbox," an annual conference that supports and enhances Christ-centered marriages through her coaching programs.
Maggie is the National Director of Connection for Christian Women in Media and encourages others to expand their love for Christ. She serves on the board of Kingdom Industries United because she loves unity in the body of Christ.
