Unity is Now Leaders - Meet Dr. Juanita McDonald

Dr. Juanita Britt McDonald is a renowned Comprehensive Victim Prevention Specialist with a focus on Traumatic Brain Response, Emotional Regulation, and Inter-Generational Trauma. She holds a Doctorate in Christian Psychology with a Minor in Human Behavior. As a Credentialed Victim Service Provider in South Carolina and through the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA), Dr. McDonald also serves as a Partner-Affiliate Brain Injury Task Force Advisor for Pink Concussion.
Certified as a Trauma Informed Coach, Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Girl Circle Facilitation, and Train-the-Trainer programs, Dr. Juanita is deeply committed to enhancing mental health and trauma response. She is the Executive Director of Re-Discover ME Initiative, which aims to engage, educate, and improve the quality of life for survivors of abuse, trauma, and mental health disparities resulting from intimate partner and sexual violence. Additionally, she is the author of the Mental Safety Plan Journal, Re-Discover ME Training Pathways, the creator of the “Trigger Cloud’, and mascot developer of “Brittany the Brain”.
Through her work with Re-Discover ME, Dr. Juanita collaborates with individuals, groups, community leaders, businesses, and advocates on both local and national levels. Her personal mission is to be the most effective transformative servant leader possible.
When she isn't developing training programs, counseling, or supporting her community, Juanita enjoys spending time with her family. She is a proud mother of five children—four daughters and one son—and delights in her ten grandchildren, as well as her twin niece and nephew who keep the family entertained.

The Unity Is Now virtual event for 2023 is one of our Unity Projects that has been organized and facilitated in our efforts to have candid, real conversations about Unity across the body of believers. This outreach is intended to demonstrate a united effort to work together with a common goal to provide the room for the conversation and discussion. Whether we see eye-to-eye or not, agree or disagree... we know if we work together, there is always room to visit about the harder topics. This virtual event of interviews and equipping sessions full of tools, sound counsel, tips, and the like are hosted on our founder's podcast show, The RSVP Show, as an effort to lead by example in Kingdom collaboration with leaders from across the nation and world. This series is made available here at KIU and it is an honor to Unite and Collaborate together to build up the body of believers. Remember, we are stronger together and you are not alone!
